MURO LX_21 URBAN ART FESTIVAL: LISBON, PORTUGAL

The MURO LX Festival in Lisbon spotlights new, emerging artists as well as some of the most renowned modern street artists. It gives graffiti artists access to challenging new surfaces, including the pillars of the Vasco da Gama bridge, basketball courts, pedestrian crossings, train carriages, and gables, pushing the bounds of their creativity and encouraging them to interact with exciting new canvases and disused spaces.

MURO LX_21 is the 4th festival of its kind and features new attractions, including workshops, concerts, and walking tours around the finished murals. The previous three festivals, in 2016, 2017, and 2019 allowed 157 artists to create 112 works of art, which measured over 17,000m2 in total. This year, expect to see works by the likes of D*Face, the RUA Collective, and Bordallo II.

The theme for this year will be embodied by the motto ‘The wall that (re)unites us;’ a message that will be painted onto the Parque das Nacoes.
