Half-way between the big town and the countryside, between the urban and the rural environments, SPIDERTAG offers a trip around his universe made up of straights lines, nails, dirt, hammers, wool, wood and paint.
Swinton Gallery presents in Madrid the first solo exhibition of this artist who since 2008 has been stretching the boundaries of street artwork through his travels around the world. An unrelenting quest -in those forsaken nooks, on a lost summit or in a derelict village- for new ways of endeavour and taking over the space.
Between abstraction and geometry, between cinema and experimentation, between neon lights and fluoride sprays, SECUENCIAS MÍNIMAS sets the path for new directions which reflect upon the interests of this urban artist, always concerned about straight lines, composition and an unending diagonal row’s unsettling balance.
SECUENCIAS MÍNIMAS includes a series of 23 new works that combine a few simple elements that build a precise and synthetic universe: video, installation, sculpture made of logs, wooden structures, light and polyptychs with neon and red fluo paint. A lot of red fluo paint.
In Swinton Gallery’s 140 sq. meter main room, this urban artist unleashes his latest reinvention, following his path of abstraction and geometry and adding a heavy dose of experimentation.
With objects found in the street -doors, windows or pallets- Spidertag builds an intimate and brilliant story, a personal view of the future, a diagonal trace on his artistic life that has led him since 2008 to transit the paths between urban and rural areas.

Entre el campo y la ciudad, entre lo urbano y lo rural, SPIDERTAG propone una vuelta por su universo creado a partir de lineas rectas, clavos, tierra, martillos, lana, madera y pintura.
Swinton Gallery presenta la primera exposición individual en Madrid de este artista que desde 2008 lleva expandiendo los límites de la creación callejera a través de sus numerosos viajes por el mundo. Una continua búsqueda -en esos rincones olvidados, en una montaña perdida o en un pueblo abandonado- de nuevas formas de intervención y apropiación del espacio.
Entre la abstracción y la geometría, entre el cine y la experimentación, entre el neón y el spray flúor, SECUENCIAS MÍNIMAS, explora nuevos rumbos que reflejan las inquietudes de este artista urbano, siempre preocupado por la línea recta, la composición y el equilibrio inquietante de una diagonal eterna.
SECUENCIAS MÍNIMAS reúne una serie de 23 obras nuevas donde, a partir de la simplicidad de elementos, construye un universo preciso y sintético en el que caben video, instalación, escultura con troncos, estructuras de madera, luz y polípticos con neón y flúor rojo. Mucho flúor rojo.
En los 140m2 de Swinton Gallery, este artista urbano da rienda suelta a su última reinvención, siguiendo su trayectoria de abstracción y geometría y añadiéndole una fuerte dosis de actualidad y experimentación.
Con objetos encontrados en la calle, como puertas, ventanas o palets, Spidertag construye un relato intimista y brillante, destinado a mirar por la ventana del futuro, la diagonal de su vida artística, esa que lo ha llevado desde 2008, a transitar los caminos entre lo urbano y lo rural.
