About Dotmasters

London born & bred artist Dotmasters, started painting on the streets in the early ‘90s. Previously part of the C6.org collective, who hit headlines worldwide in 1997 with ‘Man in a box,’ when they incarcerated and starved him in a surveillance cube in a gallery in Brighton. His work is a mixture of stark black and white street pieces and unique, photo-real colour stencils, that fool the eye and take a sideways look at a populist media with a typically English sense of humour. This led him to be invited to take part in Banksy’s Waterloo ‘Cans Festival’, featured in Oscar-nominated ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ and recently worked on the set of ‘Tomorrow’ an upcoming Martin Scorsese film shot in London. If that wasn’t enough, he’s also a driving force behind the world famous Nuart festival in Norway, and regularly collaborates with the Mutoid Waste Company, grass roots activists, Glastonbury Festival, luxury brands, Fuji Rock Festival, weirdo’s, developers and drop outs.
